Microsoft is the creator of Visual Studio. Actually, Visual Studio is a suite of products that allow one to create dotNET applications. dotNET applications run within the dotNET framework, which acts as the middle man between the application and the operating system.

There are several versions of Visual Studio, and the current one is Visual Studio 2005, which is the focus of this article. Previous versions include Visual Studio 6.0, Visual Studio .
